4. Palestinian Network

The network aims to become a national platform that connects universities, health facilities, community organizations, environmental actors, and public health professionals working on surveillance and early detection in Palestine.

National platform for early detection
  • Its Mission:
Strengthen coordination, data sharing, and collective action to improve public health surveillance and resilience in Palestine.
  • Its Vision:
A connected, collaborative, and empowered local and national ecosystem where institutions jointly monitor health, psychosocial, occupational and environmental risks, inform policy, and protect communities.

Why is the network (PSNP) important?

Palestine faces complex and interconnected challenges: health emergencies, environmental stressors, climate impacts, mental health burdens, and resource constraints. Hence, no single institution can address these issues alone, coordination is essential.

National early warning
By connecting sentinel sites, universities, ministries, and field actors, it builds a national early warning system that is more responsive and more resilient.

  • The network improves information flow, standardization of methods, and shared learning across regions and sectors.
  • It strengthens local ownership, community involvement, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • By connecting sentinel sites, universities, ministries, and field actors, it builds a national early warning system that is more responsive and more resilient.

By fostering collaboration across regions and sectors, the network enhances early detection, strengthens local resilience, and supports evidence-based decision-making. We invite clinics, researchers, NGOs, community groups, and all interested partners to join this growing national effort and contribute to building a healthier, more informed, and more resilient Palestine.

Call for joining the network

This South initiative project is a Belgian-Palestinian collaboration funded by the VLIR-UOS (2025–2027).

The project comes in response to the severe weakening of the capacities of academic and health institutions following the conflict in Palestine, limiting resources for data collection, evidence-based interventions, and personnel training.
